Welcome to our first newsletter! It has taken me a while to get this started. So, I appreciate your patience. I actually find it a little intimidating coming up with stuff to put in the newsletter. So, if y’all have any suggestions, requests, or ideas, feel free to share them with me. 😊 We also had the craziness of deciding to convert one of our long-term rentals into a short-term, mid-term rental. That was quite a roller coaster of stress, indecision, a touch of panic, and a lot of fun. It took quite a while to make it all happen but ….
We have a NEW location!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest Short-Term Rental (STR) gem right in the heart of downtown Davison: Rails and Relaxation (R&R) Suite! Nestled in a charming historic house, R&R offers a unique blend of urban comfort and serene relaxation, making it the perfect retreat for both locals and visitors alike.

Our two-bedroom, one-bathroom upper-floor apartment boasts a cozy yet contemporary design, complete with all the comforts of home. Sit back, unwind, and let the soothing ambiance wash over you as you hear and see trains pass by from the comfort of your own private sanctuary. At R&R, convenience is key. Our fully furnished apartment comes equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a well-appointed kitchen, laundry facilities, high-speed internet, and more. Meanwhile, back at the lake house, we have 2 suites:
Peaceful and Grateful.
The latest news here is that our bald eagle family is growing – 5 at last count. And they have been flying around our end of the lake a lot lately. It is such a wonderous sight to see them flying by, grabbing a fish from the lake, or perched on a tree branch. The 2 adults have their full white head and tail plumage, while the 3 younger ones are transitioning to their adult plumage. It takes them a few years before they mature enough for that. It will be interesting to see how many they add to their family this year. I have put so much time and effort into getting some great photos of them. However, they don’t exactly schedule appointments and strike a pose for me. LOL My efforts have been very eye-opening and respect-building for me regarding the amazing wildlife shots that others have been able to take. I wish I could claim credit for this picture, but it comes from a friend of mine who had much better luck than me. LOL
Our New Website for Private Bookings:
We have launched our new website! It’s not flashy, but it works. 😊 This is where you can go to get all the information about each of our locations, check availability, and book your reservations. This saves our guests the booking fees that Airbnb, and VRBO charge, and it saves us booking fees on our end as well. So, we are trying something new for our guests who have stayed with us before and want to return to the area.
